Providence Bruins captain Trent Whitfield, who has been out with a concussion since Oct. 16, felt good after skating this morning at the 146 rink in North Smithfield, said coach Butch Cassidy.

It was Whitfield's first time on the ice since the injury.

"He should be ready this weekend,'' Cassidy said.

Kevan Miller (upper body) also was back on the ice, as was Stef Chaput (lower body).

Colby Cohen (bruised foot) did not skate.

Zach Hamill has the flu and did not practice.

Marc Cantin has a concussion after taking a puck in the helmet and did not skate.
