It's hard to believe that, in their 17 previous appearances in the Stanley Cup finals, the Bruins never once played a Game Seven.
That makes Wednesday night's game in Vancouver not only decisive, but also history-making.
And, needless to say, pressure-packed.
"You can't let that (pressure) grab you," said 43-year-old Mark Recchi.
The oldest player in the NHL, the Bruins' veteran right wing has played on Cup-winning teams in Pittsburgh and Carolina.
"The biggest thing," he said, "is embracing it. This is what we dream of. It's what we play for. We just have to go play and have fun."
Playing in Vancouver hasn't been any fun for the Bruins in this series.
They've lost all three games to the Canucks in British Columbia, each of them by one goal.
"We've had three close ones up there," Recchi said Monday night, after the B's kept the Canucks from winning the Cup in Boston. "Now we've got to find a way to win one."
