Defensemen Jeff Penner and Drew Fata will be ready to play when the Providence Bruins return from their brief Christmas break.
Coach Rob Murray said that Penner and Fata should be good to go for Saturday's game at Lowell, Providence's next game.
Penner had a hand injury and Fata had an ankle injury.
Julien Brouillette, Ryan Stokes and Tom Galvin, who were brought in on tryouts, have been cut loose. All will return to the teams they had been playing for -- Stokes to Toledo of the ECHL, Galvin to Muskegon of the IHL, and Brouillette to Charlotte of the ECHL.
Alain Goulet, who missed some time with a back injury, dressed Friday and Saturday, but not Sunday.
The P-Bruins have seven healthy defensemen on their roster: Andrew Bodnarchuk, Penner, Fata, Goulet, Jared Ross, Rob Kwiet and Scott Fletcher.
Adam McQuaid and Andy Wozniewski are on recall to Boston.
The P-Bruins are off all week for Christmas.
