Don't be fooled by the warm and sticky weather. Hockey season is just around the corner. Don't believe it? The Providence Bruins unveiled their preseason schedule today. Here's the team release: The Providence Bruins, the 2008-09 Atlantic Division champions of the American Hockey League, today announced their preseason schedule for the 2009-10 season, with three games to be played in Massachusetts. The P-Bruins' preseason schedule begins on Wednesday, Sept. 23, as Providence serves as the host team against the Springfield Falcons at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, Mass. For information on tickets for the game at the New England Sports Center, beginning at 7:05 p.m., please call the New England Sports Center at (508) 229-2700. The preseason continues the following evening on Thursday, Sept. 24, with Providence again serving as the host team and taking on the Lowell Devils at the Iorio Arena in Walpole, Mass., at 6:05 p.m. Tickets for the game are just $10 and can be purchased by visiting the Iorio Arena or emailing Chrissy Bartletta at chrissy@rbhockey.com. Providence wraps up the preseason on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. at Springfield's MassMutual Center, again battling the Falcons.
